It’s been a busy summer for us at High Blantyre Hall thanks to funding from SSE Renewables. Our volunteers, 3rd Blantyre Scout Group, contractors, Amey and the unpaid work force have been working hard to improve our facilities.

The unpaid work force painted our perimeter fence and some of the exterior of the building.

@K.M.G Electrical completed a complete rewire of the building making it safe for our users.

@Cochrane and Watt supplied and fitted new suspended ceilings and insulation throughout the building, so not only does it look great, it is now more energy efficient.

ACS Scotland fitted new air conditioning units to heat the building in an energy efficient way.

Local firm @ExtremeClean took to the task of cleaning after the contractors, no mean feat, and did a fantastic job.

On completion of the work a volunteer party from Amey Scotland painted the main hall, making it ready for the new term.

There is still much to do but we are really happy with the way things are progressing
